Foreign Minister meets Head of OCHA in Sanaa

SANAA, Feb. 4 (YPA) – Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf met on Tuesday with the newly-appointed Head of United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Sanaa Aidan O’Leary.

During the meeting, the Foreign Minister welcomed the new head of the OCHA office, confirming the National Salvation Government’s keenness to provide the necessary facilities for the office’s work in Yemen.

Sharaf stressed that the humanitarian organizations and bodies working in Yemen should focus on the contribution to alleviating the scale of the suffering and humanitarian catastrophe that the Yemeni people face as a result of the aggression.

In the meeting, the head of OCHA in Sanaa submitted his credentials, confirming that he would do his utmost to activate the office’s work to ensure that aid reach the largest possible number of Yemenis.
