SANAA, Feb. 4 (YPA) – Civil society organizations’ rights coordination office said on Monday that 200 people have been killed by assassinations in Aden province, southern Yemen, since 2015.
This came during a human rights symposium organized by the Coordination Office for Advocating Victims of Assassinations in Aden, and attended by a number of lawyers, jurists and civil society activists.
Lawyer Anwar al-Yafei, one of founders of the Coordination Office, said that all cases of assassinations were “charged against unknown.”
For her part, Lawyer Afra Hariri, a member of the Coordination office, said that “assassinations are serious crimes and usually end up with a dead end, and worse still, they are usually charged against an unknown.”
