Foreign Minister meets OHCHR chief

SANAA, Feb. 2 (YPA) – Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf Abdullah met on Sunday with the chief of the Asia-Pacific, Middle East and North at the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) Francesco Motta.

At the meeting, the officials discussed a number of aspects and ways related to developing and enhancing cooperation relation between Yemen and the OHCHR.

The minister reviewed the violations and crimes committed by the Saudi-led aggression coalition countries against civilians and civil objects.

Sharaf called on the international community and relevant organizations to condemn the aggression countries’ crimes and violations and pressure to end the war and lift the siege imposed on the Yemeni people.

The minister renewed his call to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet to visit Yemen and briefed on the humanitarian situation.

He renewed the National Salvation Government’s commitment to provide all facilities for continuing the OHCHR’s work in Yemen.
