Saudi Arabia supports Trump’s announcement on “century deal”

RIYADH, Jan. 29 (YPA) – Saudi Foreign Ministry on Wednesday confirmed the kingdom’s support for the US President Donald Trump’s plan known as “the century deal”, calling for the start of direct negotiations between Palestinians and Israelis.

In a statement issued today, Wednesday, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said that in light of what was announced by President Donald Trump regarding the “deal of the century”,

“The Kingdom renews its support for all efforts aimed at reaching a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue,” the Saudi ministry said in a statement issued Wednesday in light of Trump’s announcement on the centaury deal.

The statement expressed the kingdom’s great appreciation for the efforts made by Trump administration to develop a comprehensive peace plan between the Palestinian and Israeli sides.

The kingdom also encourages the start of direct peace negotiations between the Palestinian and Israeli sides under the auspices of the United States, the statement added.

The US President announced two years ago a US proposal to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, which was called “the Century Deal” in the media, with the aim of permanently liquidating the Palestinian issue and allowing Israel to expand on all Palestinian lands without contest.
