Islah gunmen storm funeral procession for al-Hariz tribe in Hadhramaut

HADSHRAMAUT, Jan. 25 (YPA) – Gunmen loyal to Islah party (Yemeni branch of Muslim brotherhood) stormed a funeral procession for the dead of the Al Hariz tribe in Hadhramaut province, eastern Yemen, local sources said on Saturday .

Local sources confirmed that armed men from the Al-Hariz tribe exchanged fire with military pickups belonging to al-Islah party leader Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar during the funeral procession in Wadi Ser in Hadhramaut province.

The tribe gunmen participated  in the funeral forced al-Islah militants to flee, and the excessive speed caused one military pickup to overturn, causing two gunmen wounded, one of the sources said.

Last week, armed clashes between the Al Hariz tribe and Al-Islah militants left four dead and injured from Al Hariz tribesmen in Wadi Hariz.
