Al-Houthi calls on Saudi Arabia to release all war prisoners
SANAA, Jan. 23 (YPA) – Member of the Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi on Thursday called on Saudi-led coalition countries to release all war prisoners in their custody.
In a post on his account on Twitter, al-Houthi called for Saudi Arabia to release 72 prisoners remaining from its previous initiative.
Al-Houthi confirmed that “Saudi Arabia announced that it would release 200 prisoners a while ago on the basis of the goodwill initiative, but so far it has not freed the full number.”
He added that the successive peace steps are which enhance confidence, not tarrying and hesitation.
