Mercy Corps projects in Yemen discussed

SANAA, Jan. 16 (YPA) – Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation Abdelmohsen Tawoos on Wednesday met with Country Director of Mercy Corps in Yemen.

The meeting discussed the activities and projects of the organization and the extent of their keeping pace with the need, especially in light of the difficult circumstances that Yemen is going through as a result of the aggression and the blockade.

In the meeting, Tawoos stressed on the need to focus on the projects of priority, saying that 2020 is “the year of economic recovery and dependence on the development.”
He indicated to the importance of transparency in the bidding procedures for all organizations operating in Yemen.

The country director of Mercy Corps confirmed the organization’s commitment to work according to the need plans, appreciating the Council’s cooperation in facilitating the tasks of the organization.
