Update 1: Yemen army launches attack on Saudi positions in Asir

ASIR, Jan. 15 (YPA) – The Yemeni army backed by popular committees launched an attack against Saudi army and its mercenaries in Asir, a military official said on Wednesday.

According to the official, the army forces have stormed and attacked the positions of the Saudi-led mercenaries in Abwab al-Hadeed district.

The official confirmed that there were dead and wounded in their ranks of the mercenaries, while others fled their sites.

Earlier in the day, the Yemeni army forces destroyed a Saudi military vehicle carrying mercenaries, in west Majazah area, killing all those on board.
