Transport Minister stresses UN team’s role in Stockholm Agreement implementation

SANAA, Jan. 8 (YPA) – Minister of Transport Zakaria al-Sham on Wednesday stressed the importance of United Nations observe team in the implementation of Stockholm Agreement, epically with regard to the needs of Hodeidah port.

This came during the minister’s meeting with with Amira Khudair, the political affairs officer at the United Nations Mission in support of Hodeidah Agreement.

In the meeting, the Transport Minister emphasized the importance of supporting the port of Hodeidah and implementing the agreements that were signed recently with the UNDP.

He indicated that Saudi-led aggression coalition continues to detain fuel-laden ships and prevent them from entering the port, and continues to close Sanaa International Airport in front of civil and humanitarian flights.

In turn, the political affairs official of the UN mission praised the facilities provided by the Ministry of Transport to the mission in the port of Hodeidah.
