China launches new communications technology satellite
SANAA, Jan. 8 (YPA) – China launched a new satellite into space to test communications technology, from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwestern Sichuan Province.
The China Aerospace Science and Technology Group said in a statement on Wednesday that the satellite was launched by a Long March-3B carrier rocket and entered the preset orbit, noting that this satellite will be used in communications, radio, television, data transmission, testing High flow technology.
The group added that the new satellite and carrier rocket were developed by the Shanghai Academy of Aerospace Technology and the Chinese Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology of the group.
