US targeting of Soleimani, al-Muhandis is state terrorism: Yemeni Parliament

SANAA, Jan.4 (YPA) – The Yemeni Parliament on Saturday condemned the US attack that targeted Deputy Head of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Force Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and Commander of the Iranian Quds Force Qassem Soleimani and their companions in Baghdad Friday.

The Parliament considered, in a statement, this operation as a state terrorism against an independent and sovereign state and a member of the United Nations, describing the attack as “a criminal terrorist act.”

The statement affirmed that these blatant practices are contrary to all international norms and covenants and threaten international stability, security and peace and increase the state of tension and escalation in the region.
