SANAA, April 26 (YPA) – The dialysis center at the Republican hospital in Yemen’s capital Sanaa launched a distress call, saying that the center will stop working and will close within 48 hours, due to the shortage of dialysis solutions at the center.
The closure of the center threatens the lives of more than 200 patients who are suffering from renal failure.
Some international organizations have responded to those calls made by the hospital,” Director General of the hospital Dr. Nasr al-Qudsi told Yemen Press Agency.
“Six trucks loaded with medical solutions related to dialysis had arrived, and they were sent by the World Health Organization (WHO),” he added.
Al-Qudsi said that these materials can be barely used for one month.
The country is suffering from three years war and blockade by Saudi-led coalition and we hope that the center gets more solutions, al-Qudsi added.
