Islah Party militias carry out campaign of arrests in Shabwa

SHABWA, Jan. 1 (YPA) – Islah Party militias affiliated with Hadi’s forces on Wednesday carried out a campaign of arrests and raided citizens’ homes in one of villages of Laqmosh tribes in the occupied Shabwa province, southeast Yemen.

Sources loyal to Islah said that the militias captured 10 wanted persons during clashes with what they called rebels in Laqmosh area.

Local sources reported that the Islah militias launched a raid campaign on houses in al-Fara village in the tribes’ area and arrested dozens of citizens who had no connection to the conflict witnessed by Laqmosh tribes.

In their attacks on villages of the Laqmosh tribes, Hadi’s forces and Islah militias used heavy weapons, killing dozens and destroying citizens’ homes in those small villages, according to the sources.
