Girl with special needs raped in Lahj

LAHJ, Dec. 31 (YPA) – A girl with special needs was raped by a man in Lahj province, southern Yemen, media sources reported on Tuesday.

According to media reports, a 27-year-old man raped a 17-year-old disabled girl in al-Habil village of Toban district in Lahj province.

In the middle of this month, an eight-year-old girl was raped by elements affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council in al-Mansoura district of Aden province.

Over four years of the war on Yemen, the southern provinces have witnessed an unprecedented insecurity state that has led to the spread of many crimes, including raping and kidnapping of girls, assassinations, and other violations against citizens.
