SANAA, Dec. 31 (YPA) – The Interior Ministry in the National Salvation government on Monday explained the circumstances of explosion of “package bomb” inside a home of a citizen in the capital Sanaa a few days ago.
Ministry of Interior spokesman Brig. Gen. Abdul Khaleq al-Ajri said in a statement: “The fact that an explosion occurred in al-Balili neighborhood of the Capital Of Sanaa a few days ago, and after security moved the site, it turned out that it was inside the house.”
Brig. Gen. Al-Ajri noted that the scene of the blast “does not allow security personnel to be present for the privacy and respect of the houses”.
“After inspecting the site and taking the evidence, the martyr Ahmed Mohammed al-Marm al-Awlaki was found with several shrapnel in his body,” he said.
He continued: “There were earrings and pieces of paper from gift envelopes, wires, gunpowder and metal pieces and on the remaining piece of paper from the envelope written “A gift reaches the hand of Abu Harb al-Awlaki”, one of the mujahedeen against the aggression and the martyr his father.”
Interior Ministry spokesman said in a statement published by the ministry’s security information Centre that “work is still under way to prosecute and uncover the traitor offenders who resort to the dirtiest methods to kill innocent people.”
He attributed the perpetrators’ motives to their “hatred and pain in establishing security and living in tranquility in all areas facing aggression”.
“For their failure throughout the years of the war to achieve their goals, crimes and assassinations, they took advantage of Yemenis’ trust in each other, ” Interior Ministry spokesman added.
Brig. Gen. Abdul Khaleq al-Ajri concluded the statement by stressing the imperative of arresting the perpetrators in order to get their just punishment
