Clashes break out as hundreds of settlers storm tomb of Yusuf in Nablus
SANAA, Dec. 30 (YPA) – Violent confrontations broke out on Sunday evening with the enemy forces that stormed the city of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank, to secure the entry of hundreds of settlers to Joseph’s grave.
Palestinian sources reported that a large number of military vehicles, accompanied by military bulldozers, stormed Nablus from the Beit Furik checkpoint, east of the city, and headed towards Amman Street, which was closed by young men with burning tires.
Dozens of soldiers were deployed in the streets surrounding Joseph’s grave and on the roofs of some buildings, firing sound, gas and metal bullets at Palestinian youths who threw stones and Molotov cocktails at them.
Dozens of buses and vehicles carrying hundreds of settlers later arrived at Joseph’s Tomb, under heavy guard patrols of the enemy.
