Tihama’s agricultural revenues meet local market needs: Hodeidah Acting Governor

HODEIDAH, Dec. 25 (YPA) – Acting Governor of Hodeidah province Mohammed Quhim on Wednesday said that the agricultural season in Tiham area in 2019 has achieved surplus revenues that met the local market needs.

This came during his presidency of a meeting held to discuss the difficulties facing the bakeries sector in the province as a result of the blockade imposed by the aggression coalition that prevent the entry of basic materials into the province.

Quhim pointed out that the enemy escalation by preventing the entry of ships loaded with foodstuffs, including grains, requires putting in place the necessary solutions to exploit the potentials and local agricultural revenues to contribute to food security.

The acting governor expressed the willingness of the local authority in the province to address the problems facing the owners of bakeries to ensure the continuation of their work.
