UAE boycott campaigns continue on social media

SANAA, Dec. 21 (YPA) – The campaigns calling for a boycott of the UAE have increased recently on social media to protest against its violations and horrific war crimes committed in Yemen, Libya and other Arab countries.

A campaign was launched in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia last week on Twitter website under hashtag “Boycott_UAE_Products” and extended to the rest of the Gulf countries.

In the same context, activists on Twitter launched another campaign to boycott the International Expo in Dubai next year. They appealed to the Arab and international human conscience to boycott the mentioned exhibition and not to contribute to the economy of a country that kills civilians.

The activists also highlighted the UAE regime’s violations of human rights internally through the arrest and detention of hundreds of human rights activists and opponents because of their demands for reform and freedoms.
