Citizen assassinated in Hardhramaut

HADHRAMAUT, Dec. 21 (YPA) – A citizen was shot dead on Friday evening by unidentified gunmen in Hadhramaut province, sources said.

According to local sources, unidentified gunmen in a military vehicle shot at a citizen as he was passing through the Hadhramaut Valley area.

The citizen was taken to a hospital in the area but he died as a result of several bullets he sustained in different areas of his body, one of the sources said.

On Thursday, unidentified gunmen have assassinated an imam in the same province,local sources said.

Local sources in the city said that two gunmen in a Hilux car opened fire on a mosque in the city of al-Qatten, killing the imam before fleeing the scene.

The phenomenon of assassinations and killings has spread widely in areas under the control of the so called Hadi government and the Islah Party party in a large way, because of the inability of the security authorities in those areas to provide security and protect the people.
