Interior Ministry denies existence of girls abduction in Sanaa

SANAA, Dec. 20 (YPA) – Ministry of Interior in the National Salvation Government on Thursday denied the validity of what is being reported by media outlets and websites on the existence of the phenomenon of kidnapping girls in the capital Sanaa.

“What is circulated by some suspicious media about the existence of what they called the girls abduction phenomenon in the capital Sanaa are baseless rumors,” the ministry said in a statement, which Yemen Press Agency obtained a copy of it.

The ministry added that this is one of rumors promoted by media loyal to the aggression coalition to distort the stable security situation in all free provinces run by the Supreme Political Council.

All the cases of the disappearance of girls recorded in the capital Sanaa during December were three cases, and all of the girls were found at the same day after reporting, the ministry explained.

The Interior Ministry concluded its statement by saying: “the Yemeni people has become knowing the source of these rumors and the purpose of publishing them.”
