Health Ministry launches anti-schistosomiasis campaign targeting over 3 million children

SANAA, Dec. 16 (YPA) -Ministry of Public Health and Population, represented by the General Administration for Disease Control and Epidemiology, on Monday launched a national campaign to eliminate schistosomiasis in a number of provinces.

The four-day campaign, funded by the World Health Organization and the World Bank, targets 3,340,664 children between the ages of 6-18 years, enrolled in and out of school, in 101 districts of Hajjah, Mahweet, Amran, Ibb, Sanaa, Dhamar, Raymah, Hodiedah, Saada, Jawf and Bayda provinces.
