LAHJ, Dec. 15 (YPA) – A senior leader of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional council militia on Saturday survived an assassination attempt in Lahj province, north of Aden, local sources said.
According to the sources in Lahj, the director of human resources in the security belt forces, A’azmi Thabet al-Rahwi, was attacked, as he was leaving the brigade’s headquarters by unknown gunmen.
The gunmen opened fire on al-Rahwi’s military pickup as he left the brigade’s headquarters, one of the sources said.
The sources added that the assassination attempt came after Al-Rahwi threatened to physically liquidation through messages to his phone.
