Abdelmadjid Taboun wins presidency of Algeria

ALGERIA, Dec. 13 (YPA) – The Algerian Electoral Commission announced on Friday that the presidential candidate Abdelmadjid Taboun won the presidency of Algeria according to preliminary official results, to be the eighth president of the Algerian Republic.

Abdelmadjid Taboun, 74, was born in the city of Naama, in western Algeria, and is a former prime minister.
