Southern political activist resigns STC’s membership

ADEN, Dec. 11 (YPA) – Nadim Hassan al-Naqeeb, a political activist, on Wednesday submitted his resignation as a member of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC).

Al-Naqeeb resigned as a member of the STC’s General Assembly and as an advisor to the Assembly’s President.

In his resignation letter, al-Naqeeb explained that he resigned after discovering that “the council’s project and its compass are heading in other directions,” as he said.

Al-Naqeeb’s resignation comes one day after the resignation of Leila bin Borik from the council’s membership.
