Fuel importers accuse Hadi govt’s economic committee of blackmail, corruption

ADEN, Dec. 11 (YPA) – Merchants and importers of petroleum products have accused the so-called “economic committee” in the exiled Hadi’s government of blackmail and corruption, warning against the consequences of those practices that directly affect the living conditions of citizens.

The importers of oil derivatives, who launched a campaign on social media sites under the hashtag “#oil_ derivatives_ monopoly”, noted that the corruption of the technical office director in the economic committee, formed by Hadi’s government in August 2018, has reached levels that cannot be tolerated.

The merchants said that the technical office director in the committee practices extortion of dealers in exchange for obtaining entry permits for ships loaded with fuel.

They confirmed that they have documented evidence of extortion he carried out, vowing to reveal the facts if these practices continue.
