Armed ambush targets Hadi’s forces in Abyan

ABYAN, Dec. 11 (YPA) – A number of recruits in ranks of the exiled Hadi’s forces were killed and injured in an armed ambush targeted their military vehicles on Wednesday in Abyan province, south of Yemen, sources reported.

The sources said that unidentified gunmen believed to affiliate with the Southern Transitional Council’s militia set an armed ambush for military vehicles belonging to the Hadi’s forces in Talil and Jabaliya areas, west of al-Mahfed district.

The armed attack resulted in the killing and injuring of 15 recruits and the destruction of three vehicles, as well as damage to several military vehicles that were on their way to the coastal city of Shoqra, where Hadi’s forces have been stationed since last August.

The dead and wounded were transferred to hospitals of Lauder city for treatment amid tight procedures, the sources added.
