MSF condemns coalition’s massacre in Hajjah
SANAA, April 25 (YPA) – Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)) condemned on Wednesday the crime committed by Saudi-led coalition’s warplanes in Hajjah province.
“Attacks on civilians are a serious violation of international humanitarian law,” head of MSF’s mission in Yemen, João Martins, said in a statement.
What happened in Bani Qays is appalling; among the 63 wounded our teams have treated, 13 children, Martins added.
“These people arrived at the hospital in garlands traditionally worn to celebrate marriage. No one was armed or in military uniform,” he said.
On Sunday, April 22 , the coalition fighter jets hit a wedding party in Bani Qays area in the province, killing 35 civilians and wounding 55 others, including 30 children.
