PM, OCHA Director discuss humanitarian organizations activity in Yemen

SANAA, Dec. 8 (YPA) – Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor on Sunday discussed with Director of the United Nations Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) Sebastien Trives, activities of international humanitarian organizations operating in Yemen.

The meeting focused on emergency priorities in various humanitarian aspects and the need to be taken into account by the organizations operating in Yemen in their various programs for the next stage.

The meeting dealt with means to strengthen the partnership relations between Yemen and the humanitarian groups and the joint work to overcome the present problems, and enhance the humanitarian organizations’ positive role in meeting the urgent and priority needs of the Yemeni people.

In this regard, the meeting praised the great humanitarian role played by UN and international humanitarian organizations in alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people in this critical extraordinary period that Yemen is going through.
