Political Council welcomes efforts to stop war, siege 

SANAA, Dec. 4 (YPA) – The Supreme Political Council on Wednesday welcomed the efforts being made to stop the war and lift the siege imposed on Yemen.

In its meeting, chaired by President Mahdi al-Mashat, the Council reiterated Yemen’s firm stance towards peace and the political process.

The Council reviewed a number of reports on the continued escalation of the aggression coalition, appreciating the steadfastness of the army and popular committees in countering the attacks of the coalition forces and mercenaries.

In this regard, the Council praised the development of military capabilities of the army and popular committees and the downing of  military and reconnaissance aircraft belonging to the coalition.

During the meeting, the Council was briefed on the plan of the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation for 2020 and the performance of international and local organizations and the existing difficulties.

The meeting discussed a number of issues on the Council’s agenda and took appropriate decisions.
