Any new consultations must be preceded by ending aggression, siege: Ansarullah’s member

SANAA, Dec. 4 (YPA) – Member of the Political Bureau of Ansarullah Ali al-Qahoum on Wednesday stressed the need to stop the aggression and siege to enter into any new consultations called for by the United Nations.

“The equation today has changed, and we can not stand idly by in the face of the criminal arrogant enemy,” al-Qahoum said in a statement to Al-Masirah TV Channel. “The doors of solutions for us are open from the beginning and our demand is clear, which is ending the aggression and lifting the siege.”

Al-Qahoum indicated that UN special envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths, during his meeting with the national negotiating delegation on Tuesday in Muscat, sought to set a new round of negotiations, but the national delegation stressed that it is not possible to negotiate and reach understandings in case of the continued aggression and siege.

He explained that the United Nations did not move to pressure the aggression countries to abide by Sweden Agreement, despite the enemy’s continued intransigence on its position.

“We do not count on the United Nations and an international community governed by interest and politics, and most humanitarian organizations raise the slogan of humanity without action,” Ansarullah Bureau’s member said.

He continued: “We have proven to the world that we want peace. We have no choice but to defend our dignity, freedom and independence if the aggression continues.”
