Humanitarian Affairs Council’s Secretary General meets Swiss MSF Deputy Director

SANAA, Dec. 3 (YPA) – Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation Abdulmohsen Tawoos on Tuesday met with Deputy Director of Swiss MSF William Kirker.

They discussed the improvement of the health situation and the mechanism of intervention to ensure that health and humanitarian needs are met.

In the meeting, stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation and developing mechanisms of joint work between the Council and the organization in the humanitarian field in order to overcome the challenges faced by the health sector and reduce the suffering of patients.

Tawoos also confirmed the Council’s readiness to facilitate the difficulties facing the organization to carry out its humanitarian tasks to the fullest.

For his part, Kirker confirmed that MSF is keen to provide support and assistance in the health area to contribute to the provision of integrated health services.
