SANAA, Dec. 1 (YPA) – At least nine people were killed on Saturday afternoon when a south Dakota plane crashed, US authorities reported.
Peter Knudson with the National Transportation Safety Committee said the Pilatus PC-12, with 12 people on board, crashed at around 12:30 p.m, shortly after taking off from Chamberlain, South Dakota, the Associated Press reported.
According to media reports, Chamberlain and central South Dakota were under a winter storm warning at the time of the crash.
The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the incident, but stormy weather in the area makes it difficult to travel to the site, Knudson said, noting that no further information is available..
