In Pictures: Moment of downing Saudi Apache plane in Asir

SANAA, Nov. 30 (YPA) – Yemeni army’s media on Saturday evening published pictures showing the moment of downing a Saudi Apache plane with a surface-to-air missile by Yemeni air defenses on Friday.

On Friday, the army’s spokesman Brigadier Yahya Sarie announced that a Saudi Apache plane was shot down in Majaza area while carrying out hostilities, killing its crew consisting of two Saudis.

The spokesman stressed that approaching Yemen’s airspace is prohibited and would not be a picnic place for anyone.

The army’ media revealed that the names of the two Saudi pilots who were aboard the Apache plane, namely Captain pilot / Abdulmajeed Mohammed al-Omari and First Lieutenant / Saud Saad al-Shehri.
