Some Shabwa areas are centre for al-Qaeda, ISIS elements: al-Rahwi

SANAA, Nov. 24 (YPA) – Member of the Supreme Political Council Ahmad al-Rahwi on Sunday said that Ja’ar area and some areas in Shabwa province have become the focus of al-Qaeda and ISIS elements.

Al-Rahwi explained in a press statement that “the mobilization of foreign Takfiris to the south of Yemen is not new.”

“Saudi-led coalition aggression always employs these groups in its wars in Yemen,” he added.

He noted that the arrival of military reinforcements to Abyan province is intended to expand the influence of Saudi Arabia and open a new front towards Mokairas area.

The Political Council’s member affirmed that the UAE is present with its arms and intelligence in the southern cities that work for their own agendas.
