What is happening in Yemen is illogical: UN official

SANAA, Nov. 24 (YPA) – UN Resident Representative and Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen Lise Grande on Saturday called for immediate stop of the war in Yemen, stressing that “what is happening in Yemen is illogical.”

“Every death and injury from this conflict is a tragedy,” Grande added in a statement.

She indicated that 10 civilians were killed and 18 others, including a child, were wounded in shelling on al-Raqu market in Monabeh district in Saada province last Wednesday.

“It is necessary to end the fighting and that must happen now,” she said, expressing her condolences to the families of those killed and wounded.

She noted that the humanitarian partners in Monabeh district are supporting the Republican Hospital and Al-Talh Hospital to help the wounded, and assistance is provided to the affected communities.
