Yemeni army intercepts coalition’s F-15 aircraft in Saada

SANAA, Nov. 20 (YPA) – The Yemeni army’s air defenses on Wednesday were able to intercept an F-15 military aircraft of Saudi-led coalition in Saada province on Jizan front, northern Yemen, an army official said.

“The air defenses targeted the coalition’s aircraft with a surface-to-air missile of Thaqib type and forced it to leave,” the army’s spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sarie said in a statement on Wednesday evening.

Brig. Sarie confirmed that the armed forces would continue to work to protect Yemeni airspace at all costs.
