Judicial Council approves lifting diplomatic immunity for one of its member

SANAA, Nov. 18 (YPA) – The head of Supreme Judicial Council Ahmed Yahya al-Mutawakil held on Monday a meeting to approve lifting a diplomatic immunity for a member of the judiciary.

The meeting affirmed the move came on request by Attorney General to enable the Public Prosecution to complete the investigation procedures in accordance with the law.

During the meeting, the council approved appointing a member of the council of the Higher Judicial Institute as a representative for the Public Prosecution on nomination by the Attorney General.
