Iraqi Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq morns martyrdom of Yemen president al-Sammad

SANAA, April 24 (YPA) – Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq movement on Tuesday mourned the martyrdom of President Saleh al-Sammad, who was killed in Saudi-led air strikes during his visit to the province of Hodeidah last Thursday, according to a statement obtained by Yemen Press Agency.

The movement expressed its sincere condolences to the leadership of the Yemeni people, and the leader of the revolution, Abdulmalik al-Houthi, over the martyrdom of President Saleh al-Sammad.

The statement pointed to the courage of president al-Sammad and the high leadership capabilities that enabled him to carry out the battles to defend the country with determination and courage to preserve the unity, sovereignty, and security of Yemen.

It stressed that the assassination of any leader in Yemen will not change the equation, but will increase the Yemeni people’s patience and steadfastness to struggle for their cause.

The statement also confirmed that “Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq” in Iraq stands in solidarity with the Yemenis against the “coalition military aggression.”

Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq held Saudi-led coalition countries responsible for the assassination of President Saleh Al-Sammad, adding that their crimes are a blot on the face of humanity and that the Yemeni people will never forget it.
