JMP mourns death of Saleh al-Sammad

SANAA, April 24 (YPA) – The Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) mourned President Saleh Al-Sammad, the leader of the Supreme Political Council, who died in Hodeidah after three criminal attacks by US-backed Saudi-led coalition, targeting him with six of his comrades, according to a statement obtained by Yemen Press Agency.
The JMP held Saudi-led coalition countries responsible for assassination of President Saleh Al-Sammad , stressing that the Yemen army, the popular committees and the missile force have the right of decisive response and shaken enemy.
The statement called on the Yemeni people to participate in the funeral of martyr Saleh al-Sammad in the time and place to be determined by the organizing committee.
The statement also called on Yemeni people to be on the level of responsibility, warning the forces of aggression that “the crime of targeting President will not go unpunished and responded.
The JMP confirmed its support for Mahdi Mohamed Hussein Al Mashat, who was elected by the Supreme Political Council as the next president of the Council in accordance with its internal regulations.
