Health Minister stresses enhancing efforts in combating diseases, epidemics

HODEIDAH, Nov. 10 (YPA) – Health Minister Taha al-Mutawakel on Sunday stressed the importance of joining official efforts in combating diseases and epidemics, especially cholera, malaria and dengue fever.

The minister said in a statement that the dengue fever and malaria have threatened the lives of dozens of people in Hodeidah, Saada and Hajjah provinces due to the ongoing aggression and siege imposed by the Saudi-led coalition on Yemen.

Al-Mutawakel affirmed that the spread of diseases in those provinces have increased the suffering of the citizens, especially children despite the efforts exerted by the Health Ministry in the fight against these diseases.
