OCHA: One Yemeni child dies every 11 minutes

SANAA, Nov. 7 (YPA) – The United Nations warned on the repercussions of the continuing conflict in Yemen on children.

“The conflict is taking a heavy toll on childhood in Yemen,” the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said on Twitter account. “A child dies every 11 minutes. ”

يموت طفل كل 11 دقيقة، كما أن 45٪ من الأطفال الذين يموتون يعانون من سوء التغذية.

“45 percent of children who die are malnourished,” OCHA added .

The Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs renewed its call on all parties in the conflict to respect international humanitarian law and to refrain from targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure.
