World free people prepare to escalate demonstrations to lift siege on Sanaa Airport

SANAA, Nov. 6 (YPA) – General coordinator of the international campaign to lift the ban on Sanaa Airport Abdulrahman al-Houthi on Tuesday announced about escalating measures during this month, including demonstrations in various countries of the free world.

“We are continuing in the campaign to convey our grievances to the world,” said al-Houthi. “Our steps include boycotting airlines of the countries involved in the coalition of war on Yemen and there is a response from the free people in the world.”

Over three years of the air embargo, we have not seen any humanitarian or civilian flights, despite the need of thousands of patients and critical cases to travel abroad,” said Abdullah al-Hamdani, head of the air traffic control at Sanaa airport.

“Since the closure of Sanaa airport before three years, we organize and operate United Nations flights at a rate of three to four flights per day,” al-Hamdani added.

For his part, deputy head of the air traffic Asaad al-Eryani said that the airport has not received any private commercial or civil flight since its closure on August 9, 201. “The airport became exclusive to United Nations planes.”

Al-Eryani confirmed the readiness of Sanaa airport to receive various flights at the highest levels and in accordance with international standards.
