SANAA, Nov. 2 (YPA) – Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor on Saturday met with the UN Resident Representative and Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen Lise Grande.

During the meeting, they discussed a number of humanitarian files and activities of the 267 UN and international humanitarian organizations in the capital Sanaa and other provinces and the positive effects they are making in the framework of the collective effort to alleviate the suffering of Yemenis in their current tragedy.

The meeting dealt with the existing mechanism adopted by UN and international organizations to conduct their activities and provide humanitarian aid to the Yemeni people, as well as ways to benefit from their programs for service sectors relating directly to citizens such as public health, water and environment.

The meeting also reviewed the efforts of UN envoy Martin Griffiths and Humanitarian Coordinator Grande on lifting the ban on Sanaa Airport and reopening it to civil flights to save patients whose conditions require travel abroad for treatment.
