Deputy PM discusses with UNOPS needs of Al-Sabeen Hospital

SANAA, Oct. 29 (YPA) – Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Development Affairs Dr. Hussein Maqbouli and Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Taha Al-Mutwakil on Tuesday discussed with UNOPS’ advisor Khaldoun Mohammed supporting Al-Sabeen Hospital in Sanaa.

At the meeting, Dr. Maqbouli confirmed the government’s keenness to make Al-Sabeen Hospital a model and reference that provides maternity and childhood services in the capital Sanaa.

The Health Minister noted to the importance of focusing on the expansion work, both in intensive care and surgeries and emergencies, and modernization and improvement of services provided to citizens.

For her part, Director of Al-Sabeen Hospital Dr. Majida al-Khatib reviewed the hospital’s needs and the difficulties facing its work, as well as the damage suffered by the hospital as a result of the aggression bombing.

UNOPS’ consultant affirmed that the office is ready to provide support for the development and modernization of the hospital, after evaluating the hospital and knowing its needs.
