Ministry of Industry sets direct selling points for wheat, flour at cost price

SANAA, Oct. 27 (YPA) – Ministry of Industry and Trade approved on Sunday setting of direct selling points for wheat and flour in the capital city and a number of provinces at cost price to ease the burdens on citizens.

This came at a meeting chaired by the Ministry’s Undersecretary for Internal Trade Sector Bassam al-Ghorbani and attended by representatives of the Yemeni Company for Grain Mills and Silos, the Yemeni Industrial Investment Company and major importers of wheat and flour.

The meeting stressed the need to oblige sales agents and large selling outlets to display and declare prices of their products to consumers and not to increase prices of any basic commodity.

The meeting also dealt with the difficulties facing the commercial private sector due to the closure of Hodeidah port.
