Hundreds of women in Socotra rally against exiled Hadi’s gov’t

SOCOTRA, Oct. 27 (YPA) – Hundreds of women rallied on Sunday in Socotra Island in support of UAE to protest against Saudi-backed exiled Hadi’s government.

At the rally, the protesters demanded the governor Ramzi Mahrous appointed by Hadi to resign under a pretext of obstructing the humanitarian and relief work reaching the province.

The participates accused Mahrous of carrying out systematic actions and mobilizing militias to the Island.

Mahrous, who belongs to the Saudi-backed Islamic Islah party, earlier, took actions to enter the island from foreigners under the name of a new visa system and prevented the entry of the UAE arms deal to the island port.
