SANAA, Oct. 26 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology on Saturday said that it is following the tropical situation in the Arabian Sea, which is currently classified as a severe cyclonic storm.
The center explained in its weather bulletin Saturday that the tropical storm is about 1,700 kilometers from Socotra Island and that it is accompanied by winds of a speed ranging from 145 to 160 kilometers per hour, moving northwest of the Arabian Sea at speed of 14 kilometers per hour.
“There are no direct or indirect effects on the Republic of Yemen due to tropical storm during the next three days at the very least,” the center said, indicating that it would continue to follow the tropical situation and would issue the necessary warnings when needed.
