SANAA, Oct. 23 (YPA) – The UN Special Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths on Wednesday welcomed the establishment of four joint ceasefire monitoring points and the deployment of liaison officers along the front lines in Hodeidah city, western Yemen.
“This step forward will enhance de-escalation in flashpoint areas and save lives,” Griffiths said in a tweet on his office account on Twitter Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Brigadier General Mohammed al-Qadri, member of the national team in the redeployment committee in Hodeidah province, confirmed that a fourth observation point was established in Mandhar area of Hauk district under the supervision of Chief of the United Nations Mission in Support of Hodeidah Agreement General Abhijit Guha.
