Dozens detainees start open hunger strike in UAE-run prisons in Aden
ADEN, Oct. 22 (YPA) – Dozens of detainees on Tuesday began an open hunger strike to protest against their detention continued in jails that run by the UAE-backed militias in Aden province.
The Association of the Mothers of the Abducted and Forced Disappeared in Aden demanded in its statement the release of 15 detainees who have been ordered to release for more than 6 months and to consider their health as a result of continued detention in Bar Ahmed prison.
It blamed the Saudi-backed exiled Hadi’s government and the UAE militias responsible for the freedom and safety of detainees’s sons.
