Military Court in Sanaa starts trial of traitorous officers
SANAA, Oct. 22 (YPA) – Spokesman of the Yemeni army Brigadier General Yahya Sarie on Tuesday announced the trial of a group of traitorous officers in public at the Central Military Court in the capital Sanaa.
“The Central Military Court held today in Sanaa its first public hearings to consider the criminal case No. 6 of 1441 AH, in which a group of traitorous officers accused of facilitating the entry of the enemy into the territory of the Republic of Yemen and supplying fighters and other facts included in the indictment,” Sarie said in a statement.
The spokesman revealed that the accused in this criminal case are each of: –
- Abdrabbu Mansour Hadi
- Ali Mohsen Saleh al-Ahmar
- Mohammed Ali Ahmed al-Maqdashi
- Abdullah Salem Ali al-Nakhai
- Hitham Qassim Taher
- Ahmed Hussein Saleh al-Aqeeli
- Fadhl Hassan Mohammed al-Omari
- Yahya Hussein Abdullah Salah
- Amin Abdullah Hamed al-Waeli
- Tariq Mohammed Abdullah al-Ahmar
- Hashim Abdullah Hussein al-Ahmar
Sarie said that the court decided to instruct the Public Prosecution to re-inform the defendants through their military unit using the moral guidance and the appropriate means. The court warned the defendants that if they do not attend the next hearing on Sunday, November 3, 2019, it will proceed with their trial procedures according to Article 68 of the Military Code of Criminal Procedure.
